A little about Laura

Laura passed her test in the summer of 2012 and has since accumulated thousands of riding miles, earning advanced qualifications such as IAM and RoSPA. She leads training tours across Europe, rides both off-road and on track. Despite a confidence-shattering accident early in her journey, Laura’s dedication to rider education and support has only strengthened over the years. Simon Hayes of Motorcycle Riders Hub inspired her to pursue further training, leading to her passion for rider education.

Laura’s journey hasn’t always been smooth. After an accident just six months into riding, her confidence was severely shaken. “I had major anxiety about riding and faced negativity from other riders because I rode too slowly after my crash. I nearly gave up.” However, over many training days, tonnes of practice, frustrations, tears and the odd tantrum, Laura became determined to prove her peers wrong and more importantly not let her newly developed fear and anxiety win! Laura knew she could enjoy riding again but it wasn’t going to be easy. Luckily she found help from Simon Hayes, he became her motorcycle mentor, offering her advice and guidance. He could see how close she came to giving it all up. He helped her to overcome the very rational fear after a crash. Over time, she understood the value of further training, which had given her greater skills and more confidence.

Laura’s commitment to elevating the industry standards and supporting her students is unwavering. Her unique approach and dedication to nurturing riders make Women Only Motorcycle Training stand out as a beacon of excellence and empowerment in the motorcycle training world.
